Navy personnel with the Central Vietnamese NEC demonstrate validated proficiency in a regional Vietnamese language variety for operational communication, translation, interpretation, and language support assignments. They may translate spoken or written material, support intelligence and liaison activities, and communicate with native speakers in culturally informed ways.
