Scout

Marine Scouts (established 2026, effective FY27) provide infantry and light armored reconnaissance battalions with dedicated all-weather reconnaissance, surveillance, and battlespace shaping. Operating in battalion Scout Platoons with advanced optics, sensors, and unmanned systems, they serve as the commander's organic sensing force, with Joint Fires Observers coordinating supporting fires.
